Why this site exists
The same handful of marquee rooms with publicists get covered to exhaustion, while the neighborhood spots locals drive across town for on a Tuesday night stay buried under sponsored listings on the platforms most people search.
Most Atlanta coverage chases the same marquee rooms and Michelin announcements. That leaves out the Chamblee taqueria with regional Oaxacan cooking, the Doraville strip mall holding a Sichuan kitchen next to a Salvadoran pupusería, the Caribbean spots anchoring West End, and the soul-food institutions that predate the entire new-Southern chef movement by decades. Top of Atlanta exists because the city's real dining geography runs ITP and OTP, intown and along BuHi, and no single neighborhood tells the whole story.
